Alexandria sits on the rolling, well dissected hills of Campbell County, where flat ground is scarce and most lots have some grade to them. Add the mature oaks that shade a lot of these properties and the humid summers we get here, and you have close to ideal conditions for algae and mildew.
That is why the north side of your house always looks worse than the south side. It stays damp longer.
