Worth clearing up, because it affects who shows up when you call somebody. White Oak is not a city and it is not one of Cincinnati’s official neighborhoods. It is a census designated place, an unincorporated community split between Green Township and Colerain Township, about seven miles northwest of downtown. Residents have a Cincinnati mailing address, which is why it gets miscategorized constantly.

The west side brick ranch is the signature house here, and brick is the material homeowners most often assume is indestructible.
The brick usually is. The mortar between it is not, particularly on homes now 60 or 70 years old. High pressure can blow mortar joints out, and repointing costs far more than the wash did. Painted trim and aluminum are the other two materials that do badly under pressure.
